Grace of Monaco filmed in Europe
When I first saw the exquisite photo (top) of Nicole Kidman, I knew it had to be taken for a special movie or photo shoot. Yes, she's playing the extraordinary life of Princess Grace and she surely looks the part. This must be the perfect role for Nicole...she's lovely, talented, and star royalty. The story is about the termoil between Prince Rainier and the French President, Charles De Gaulle. The movie was filmed in Monaco, Paris, France, Belgium, Genoa, Italy...see more...
It's said the Rainier Monarchy isn't expressing appreciation for the movie. Whether it's well received or not, this is a role meant for Ms. Kidman. The scenery is also extraordinarily beautiful because it captures the French Riviera along the Mediterranean as well as Italy and Belgium.
Tragically, Princess Grace lost her life on a hairpin turn in Monaco after plummeting down a cliff. This photo is from the movie.
Also filmed in Menton, France known as the Pearl of France.
The movie was also filmed in Ghent, Antwerp and Lint, (Flanders) Belgium since the costs were a lot less than France according to the financiers. The old Falligan Hotel was a setting.
The Ghent center is said to be one of the prettiest towns in Belgium. The Brussels Parliament was featured in the movie.

Nicole remarkably exudes Grace's beauty and charm. Grace had an elegance about her before she was a Princess--no wonder a Prince fell for her.
