Did you think about skinny size 40 (UK 8, USA 6, Australia 10) models or classic
 Italian beauties like Sofia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida, Monica Bellucci, 
Claudia Cardinale, Mariagrazia Cucinotta?  
Fashion designer Elena Miroglio,  of the Elena Mirò group, feels that 
Italian fashion should also cater for Mediterranean-style fuller 
figured women. Elena Mirò has been excluded
 from the official fashion shows at Milan Fashion Week because 
her plus size models, an Italian size 46 (UK 14, USA 12, Australia 16), 
do not conform to the general standards used by other designers. 
(The model above is supposed to be "full figure"...oh well, finally, for us WOMEN!)


Not loving either of these styles...

Sophia Loren, one of the most beautiful and talented Italian actors, was promised and received the most lavish villa in Rome from her husband, Carlo Ponti.  This sprawling estate may be seen on Daily Mail See  here ... They had more than one home...this one below is in Capri taken when I visited in 2012.  It's located on the opposite side of the island where the Marina Piccola (small marina) is located.  Truly wonderful location for a wonderful star...see my Capri here

Audrey Hepburn in Positano?

Have you seen the The Dove Chocolate commercial featuring Audrey Hepburn?   The creators of this commercial used special techniques projecting Audrey's face over a model's to have her in this new commercial for Dove chocolate.  Some aren't happy about it but her two children love it. They say Audrey would often sneak a bite of a dark chocolate bar, but it had to be dark.  They love the commercial.  See the video and an article here...

Anjelica Huston's Three Rivers Ranch

Anjelica Huston is a beautiful woman who has a  simple yet  colorful, expressive ranch house  in Three Rivers, CA .  I'm featuring it because it's very near my home town.   She's one of my favorite actresses with so many credits to her name.  Most are not familiar with  "Family Pictures",  a two-part TV adaptation of the Sue Miller novel of the same name. Anjelica and Sam Neill are a 1950s married couple with six children, one of whom, Randall, is autistic . The parents' initial decision not to institutionalize the boy results in a terrific strain on the rest of the family.                         She also played an Italian in "Prizzi's Honor" directed by her father.     Vogue Italia  recognized Angelica's 60th birthday recently by displaying many of the above photos.  She is pictured with Jack Nicholson, her longtime friend.  At her ranch house at lef...
