Tuscan-style Landscape and Snuff Out Snails!

Tuscan Landscape Design

True Tuscan landscaping is about working around the natural plants and flowers and earth tone colours.  Large areas of green lawn aren't as popular as they don't want to waste precious water on lawns...more for the agriculture of growing fruits and vegetables.

My hungry hummingbirds keep me busy filling their feeders:

Vickie's easy hummingbird nectar recipe:
Heat to almost a boil: 1 cup sugar to 3 cups water.  Let cool and pour into a feeder such as this one.  Some feeders don't work as well as this style.  You don't even need to put red food color in their water.  I fill and refill at least 2-3 times per week.

Terra Cotta Pot Used as Bubble Fountain on Terrace
Having lived near a river and ocean at different times, I love tranquil water flowing around me.  A simple, inexpensive pot or broken ceramics can be made into a great flowing fountains or groupings with flowers. Lots of container gardens for herbs and flowers...
