Venice Under Water

So sad to see one of the most vibrant piazza's in Europe if not the world under water.  This was beautiful St. Marks Piazza (The Cathedral in the background) in Venice.  The Adriatic Sea, around the corner on the right must make this an engineering marvel to drain the water somewhere.  Usually there's a multitude of sidewalk cafe's with outdoor seating in this plaza.  See what happened to the tables and chairs and the video at the Daily Mail here.

They had more than one home...this one below is in Capri taken when I visited in 2012.  It's located on the opposite side of the island where the Marina Piccola (small marina) is located.  Truly wonderful location for a wonderful star...see my Capri here

Audrey Hepburn in Positano?

Have you seen the The Dove Chocolate commercial featuring Audrey Hepburn?   The creators of this commercial used special techniques projecting Audrey's face over a model's to have her in this new commercial for Dove chocolate.  Some aren't happy about it but her two children love it. They say Audrey would often sneak a bite of a dark chocolate bar, but it had to be dark.  They love the commercial.  See the video and an article here...

Anjelica Huston's Three Rivers Ranch

Anjelica Huston is a beautiful woman who has a  simple yet  colorful, expressive ranch house  in Three Rivers, CA .  I'm featuring it because it's very near my home town.   She's one of my favorite actresses with so many credits to her name.  Most are not familiar with  "Family Pictures",  a two-part TV adaptation of the Sue Miller novel of the same name. Anjelica and Sam Neill are a 1950s married couple with six children, one of whom, Randall, is autistic . The parents' initial decision not to institutionalize the boy results in a terrific strain on the rest of the family.                         She also played an Italian in "Prizzi's Honor" directed by her father.     Vogue Italia  recognized Angelica's 60th birthday recently by displaying many of the above photos.  She is pictured with Jack Nicholson, her longtime friend.  At her ranch house at lef...
