Lucca photo from the Tower
I used to fly into Milan and access Italy via the train, however, it's so much easier today to fly into Pisa and take the bus to Lucca (40 mins.) or the train to other destinations.  We walked everywhere in Lucca inside the walled town.  A bike is a great way to get around the entire 3 mile radius.  Don't even think about driving a car in this town--there is limited car entry and so many motorbikes and bicyclists.   Continue...
